Prof. Stilian Yotov, PhD, is a professor of philosophy at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and one of Bulgaria’s leading researchers in the field of the philosophy of law and social philosophy. He works in the Department of History of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy. His research interests focus on the philosophy of law, social and political philosophy, theories of justice, and the history of philosophy, especially early modern philosophy and German classical philosophy.

He is the author of numerous monographs and studies devoted to the problems of human dignity, equality, rights, and critical theory, including Human Dignity and Rights (2016), Habermas and the Claims of Autonomy (2006), and Equality and Egalitarianism (2004).

Since 2006, he has been a professor and teaches courses in the philosophy of law, theories of justice, and the philosophical and legal foundations of human rights at the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Law at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.”
